Dallas, TX
The RANCHO FRAMING Camaro Top Alcohol Funny Car was the picture of consistency in qualifying running a 5.80,
5.79 and 5.80 to qualify in the # 9 position. Unfortunately we were looking to be in the 5.60?s and having a hard time adjusting
to the higher humidity than we are used to on the west coast. In the first round against Jon Capps, we finally figured out the
tune up and defeated Capps with 5.68 which was 5th quickest time of eliminations. In the 2nd round against Jay Payne the #1
qualifier, Mark had a problem with the clutch pedal and rolled thru the light before the tree was activated giving the win to
Jay and ending our weekend. The long haul races put quite a strain on our racing operation and we would like to thank all of
our sponsors that help, so we can continue to race. Rancho Framing Inc., Direct Transport, NGK Spark Plugs, Steve
Johnson Attorney, Color by Woz, Foundation Fighting Blindness, Water One, and John Shafer.
