The RANCHO Framing Top Alcohol Camaro Funny Car had a rough weekend at the first Division
7 race of the 2004 season. Although we Qualified in the #3 spot, we were plagued with ignition
problems on every run including our best run of 5.785  @ 248.93 MPH. The first round of qualifying
was canceled when a comp car crashed and the track could not be repaired till the following day. In
the 2nd round of qualifying the car had a miss and lost the blower belt and coasted thru to a 6.036.
In the final session we moved into the #1 spot with a 5.785, but were bumped down to the #3 spot by
Doug Gordon #1 with a 5.709 and Ed Marx #2 with a 5.731.

In the First round we were far ahead of our opponent John Patton when the car started to miss
again and we lost the belt at the 900ft mark letting him pass us for the win when we slowed to a 6.28
Our next race is the
National event at Las Vegas April 1-4, we are going to skip the Tucson Division
race the week before Vegas to concentrate on finding and fixing our ignition problem.

CHANDLER, Ariz. - Notes from final, round 1 qualifying in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA
Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Pacific Division, event at Firebird International Raceway listing lane,
driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed

Right Lane:
Mark Woznichak Runs 6.036/201.79, Now #4

Taylor won the Winternations with a single after a weird semi-final. Woz ran well there too. Lots of
shake for the Woz and he looked to have shut off a little early. Taylor has the power under control
and runs right on down broadway.

Two of the more beautiful Funny Cars come to the line. Woz is long gone and hard to find at the hit.
Patton was late but lucky, as Woz slows and drops the chute before the 3/4's mark.
