The Woz in the Rancho Framing Camaro came up just short of winning the Fifth annual NHRA SummitRacing.com
Nationals in Las Vegas, NV when he was runner up to Cy Chesterman in the final.

The weekend looked gloomy, until the sun broke out and the rain cleared Saturday morning and we were able to start racing.
 Because of the rain we lost one qualifying session, so we knew we had to be on our game in the first session. As we watched
Cy Chesterman and Ron August both run 5.68 in front of us we knew the track was good. We fell right in behind them with
a 5.698 @ 253.42 which was good enough for the #3 position. In the next session we ran a 5.720 @ 251.20 and were only
bumped down one position to the #4 spot by by Steve Gasparrelli's 5.637 Here is the Final Qualifying order:

In the first round we were matched up against Bernie Harrington who was in as an alternate for Brett Williamsom and beat
him with a 5.684 @  252.28 to a 5.940 which was Low ET of the first round. In the 2nd round Mark was matched up against
John Patton who beat us a few weeks earlier in Phoenix when we lost a blower belt. It was payback time as Mark cut a light
on him and ran over a tenth quicker. Running a 5.727 to his 5.838. In the Semi Finals we were up against Clint Thompson
who had disposed of the #1 qualifier Steve Gasparrelli with a 5.713 which gave him lane choice against us. He took the left
lane which was were we had run all of our best runs in, but when the light went green Clint went into tire shake and Mark
drove around him with a 5.745. In the final round we had Cy Chesterman who had just run a 5.65 in the other Semi Final
match up to beat Ron August. We knew Cy would take the better lane (left) and we didn't feel the right lane could handle
much more so we went up and tried to put down a decent run and not give the race away. Cy gave it everything it had and ran
a 5.64 to beat Marks 5.74 for the Final round win.

Patton was almost sideways at about 400 feet. He was able to get the car straightened out but by then Woznichak was well

Thompson had a great start, running a .958-second 60-foot time, and it all went downhill from there. He had severe tire
shake, and had to pedal the car a couple times before it would hook up. Mark Woznichak's incremental margins (negative if
behind): 60ft(-0.102), 330 ft(0.106), 660ft(0.242), 1,000ft(0.289). MOV: 0.3307 seconds (more than 100 feet).
