The Rancho Framing / Camaro Top Alcohol Funny Car had a great weekend going
qualifying in the number 3 position with a 5.633 blast down the quarter mile. All of our times
except for a 5.722 in qualifying were in the 5.60s, from a 5.62 to a 5.69. We beat Hank Coolidge
in the first round with a 5.67 to his red light and 5.71 effort. In the second round against Brian
Hough we ran quicker with a 5.62 to his 5.64, but he cut a better light and beat Mark to the finish
line by .06 seconds, ending our weekend.

We had a good year filled with a lot highs and a couple lows. We were runner up at the Vegas
National Event and usually qualified in the top half of the field. Although we didn?t run a full
schedule of races we ended up 24th in National Points and 10th in Division 7. Next year we plan
to run a full schedule of National and Division races adding Tucson, AZ and the new Fontana, Ca
division races to our schedule.

Here are the round by round results from NHRA.com:

Looks like the cars further back in the lanes were able to adjust a bit after seeing the first few pairs of cars struggle a bit,
Woznichak with the third sixty of the day and Townsend just a few ticks behind him.

Also, he will not make the. Tough weekend for the Bateman camp.

Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car

(W) Mark Woznichak (Rancho Framing Camaro)      0.092      5.676 253.61
(L) Hank Coolidge (Pro Automotive Firebird)     -0.127(R)  5.719 252.76
Wernhart's car is out of the kitty litter and we're back under steam. Coolidge needed a miracle so he left early and prayed
that the red wouldn't come on. Not answered. The red bulb went on and then he BARELY managed to slew the car to a stop
before the found the beach. The 'Woz' took the win and watched as Coolidge went sailing by him. Woznichak sets low ET of
the round to this point.

Results of round 2 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car

(W) Brian Hough (Central Auto Body & Paint Fireb0.077      5.649 252.43
(L) Mark Woznichak (Rancho Framing Camaro)      0.161      5.625 255.82
The Woz is going to be kicking himself all the way back to Ontario for that light! It's good for him that it's only a few
miles away. Hough gets the win and a trip to the semis. Hough has lane choice over Townsend next round
