The Rancho Framing / Color by Woz / Direct Transport: Top Alcohol Funny Car Camaro really rolled up
the race track at the NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals Qualifying in the #1 position eclipsing the track record
of 5.728 by .06 seconds. In the first round of qualifying the car shut off at 200 feet when the coil wire broke off
and only ran a 10.941 @ 77.80 mph. In the second round of qualifying we improved into the #4 position with a
5.718 @ 252.80 mph. We felt there was a lot left in car on that 2nd pass, so in the 3rd round of Qualifying we
leaned on it a little and ran a 5.666 @ 253.99 mph which was good enough to hold on to the # 1 qualifying
position and get the Sealed Power Low Qualifier money. In the 1rst round of competition we beat Lawren Jones
with a 5.791 250.32 to a 5.817 245.81. In the 2nd round we slowed to a 5.900 249.49 and lost to Ron August?s
5.704 252.33. When we got back to the pits after our lose we found that the ignition had failed and that is why
the car slowed down in the first and second round. We were quite happy with our performance, we just need to
work a little harder at getting the car into the final round so we can win a National Event.

August has been sick this weekend. I was told he was running a fever of 103 yesterday. Woznichak and his
team have been making steady progress on figuring out the Fontana power plant they put into the car late last
year. Bob Miner has been giving them some help this weekend.
August left first and never looked back. He will give up lane choice to Cy Chesterman in round three.
