Sonoma, Calif.
(Aug. 1-3)
After qualifying in the top half of the field at every race this year we were disappointed to only qualify in the #9 spot. We were plagued with tire shake all weekend and even our best run of 5.765 seconds @ 236.96 mph was slowed when Mark had to lift near the end of the run to avoid hitting the wall. We lost in the first round to Ed Marx when we dropped a couple of cylinders and slowed to a 6.06 @ 232 mph. On the bright side we took delivery of our new trailer, which will be a great help to us during between round maintenance on the car. It was a bit of a struggle getting to this race with the new trailer, but with help from RANCHO FRAMING, Direct Transport, Steve Johnson and John Shafer we were still able to get there. Our next race will be at Las Vegas for the last Division 7 race of the year Oct 30 thru Nov 2. This will be a return to the track we were #1 qualifier last April and we hope to do quite well. The week after that is the final race of the year at Pomona.

5:04 PM Current weather conditions: 76 degrees, 50 percent relative humidity, the barometer 30.00 inches. The first round was
delayed to allow TV to be on time for the Pro's and it may help these guys, as the temperature has started to drop. The wind has
slowed, but is now a slight head wind.
We start with the middle of the field. The Woz has a small head start, but Marx blows on by to take the win. Woznichak slowed near
the top end, but we could not tell why.
