Racing Update: 11/3/2002 Las Vegas Gambler Shootout 

The Rancho Framing Top Alcohol Funny Car Camaro started the weekend off good with a first qualifying pass of 5.824 ET @ 243.72 MPH.
This put us in the #7 position out of 19 cars in the fastest Divisional field ever. Unfortunately on the run we had a mechanical 
problem with the clutch that threw it out of balance and caused the rear main bearing to be damaged beyond repair at the track.
We stayed qualified until the last session when Jay Payne's 5.772 @ 250.78 bumped us out of the field. We feel confident that if
we could have run the other sessions we would have been solidly in the field. This is our last race of the year since we don't 
have enough points to go to the Finals at Pomona having only raced half of the season. Here is the qualifying list and we will be
 ready for a full season of racing next year starting at Pomona Feb. 6-9, 2003 43rd annual K&N Filters Winternationals Pomona, Calif.
