| We had a pretty good weekend at the Short Line Express Markets Las Vegas Gambler Shootout hosted by The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.Our Rancho Framing, Direct Transport, Camaro Top Alcohol Funny Car ran really well. Although we lost in the first round we qualified in the #5 position for the quickest Alcohol Funny Car field ever for a divisional event, breaking the record set right here in 2002. Our fastest pass incremental times were .975 60 foot, 2.527 330 foot, 3.755 at the 1/8 mile @201.58, 4.811 at the 1000 foot and a ¼ mile E.T. of 5.706 @ 251.06 mph. We lost is the first round to Buckey Austin when we banged the blower and slowed to a 5.746 @ 242.10 MPH. Here is the run by run action for the weekend courtesy of Drag Race Central. Round 1 of qualifying Left Lane: Bucky Austin Runs 6.079/188.28, Now #4 Right Lane: Mark Woznichak Runs 5.842/247.79, Now #3 Austin got a little out of the groove and had to pedal a couple of times to get things pointed back in the right direction. Woznichak went .991 to the 60-foot timers, he was going 197.08 mph at the halfway point. Round 2 of qualifying Left Lane: Mark Woznichak Runs 5.706/251.06, Now #4; Best prior run: 5.842/247.79, Was #8 Right Lane: John Weaver Runs 5.789/246.89, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.156/242.32, Was #12 That's more like it! Woznichak drifted to the left a little, but never had to lift off the loud pedal. This is now the quickest Alcohol Funny Car field ever for a divisional event, breaking the record set right here in 2002. The bump is now Ed Marx with a 5.794. Round 3 of qualifying Left Lane: Robert Lee Runs 7.452/118.36, Now #8; Best prior run: 5.733/250.97, Was #8 Right Lane: Mark Woznichak Runs 6.573/148.36, Now #5; Best prior run: 5.706/251.06, Was #5 Both drivers clicked it early after getting out of the groove at the top end. That will end Lucas Oil qualifying in Funny Car, we have the quickest Funny Car field in history by a bunch.
